As it noses it's way towards the Snowy he begins to see life aboard the boat. A form stood on the front of the ship, watching intently. Just as Snowy recognized it as Tux Peppercorn's ship, a voice cut through the distance that remained, it coughed, sputtered, and then sang,
"And it's heave, high, comin' down the planes,
stealin' wheat an barley and all the other grains.
And it's a ho, high, Farmer's bar your doors
When you see the Jolly..."
"DESIST!" A highly annoyed voice shouted over the hideous singing. By this time the ship had come to rest beside the dock.
"Scamper, secure the ship" A rambunctious fellow, that Snowy didn't recognize jumped over the side and began to tie the boat down and plunked a plank between the dock and the ship.
"Good day Mr. Harbor, I trust all your orders are in affair?" Tux Peppercorn, who was intolerably handsome, stepped off his boat, the Free Brygmann.
Snowy looked quite confused, but none the less stood to greet Saskatchewan's only pirate.
"I'm the same as always" scrunching his eyebrows turned to look at the stranger,"but who's new face is this?"
"Scamper Franklin, I picked him up... or rather, he followed me, from Watering Can." Scamper , who was grippingly handsome, upon hearing his name came running over and stopped on a dime beside Tux.
"And why all of a sudden do you need a first mate?"
Scamper interjected, "Well he can't sail a ship all on his onsies can he?"
Tux flinched with a nervous twitch, "Onsie? Do orphanges have no english classes?? What kind of uneducated caregiver taught you that non-existant word?"
Scamper started to speak, but Tux threw up his hand, "don't bother we'll work on your vocabulary later Scamper"
Snowy's face twisted with an uncomfortable inner thought and then spoke it "what torterous parent named you Scamper?"
"I," Tux addressed Snowy witha sharp nod, "gave him that name. He insisted on a having a 'piratey' name."
"Franklin's my first name, don't know my last; my parents abandoned me in a Walmart sometime after I learned to speak."
Tux began to look impatient, "we, will need to be moving on, Snowy. I have urgent business in town and I need to keep ahead of The Rush." Just as he had finished saying this the sound of excited female voices were heard in the distance. His eyebrows rose in an unimpressed expression, "Speak of the devil..." and then continued on, "I cannot say how long we will be docking with you, I will pay you when we depart." With a turn of his heel he sauntered down the dock, and Scamper ran alongside. Snowy watched them walk away as the clamour of screaming fanatical women grew louder until he finally ran away into his office, while covering his ears, so he would not be trampled in The Rush.
